Nedd Brockmann might be the greatest (New Zealander) Australian to ever exist.
Last year, as a 24 year old sparky he broke the record for the fastest person to ever run the distance across Australia from Perth to Sydney averaging over 80 kms a day for 46 days which turned into an almost 4000 km trot...
He gained cult hero status and instantly became a household name in Australia... now he is back!
At the moment Nedd is currently running around Sydney Olympic park 400 times a day for 10 days, equating to 160 km a day for 10 day (1600 km). To put it simply, Nedd is running pretty much 4 marathons a day all to aid homeless people in Australia.
For Nedd it has always been about having the homeless problem in Australia talked about more and he has raised about $2 million AUD for the problem thus far, with his overall goal being $10 million.
In the video below you can see the suffering that Nedd is currently passing his halfway mark of 5 days of running, he has about 5 more to go.
Nedd is from a small country town and the reason he wants to raise awareness for the homelessness issue in AUS is due to then severe nature of it currently in Sydney and other big cities. He wanted to do something that would capture the attention of the nation... and boy has he done that.
Nedd's message is homelessness doesn't equal hopelessness.
