Following Adam Yauch death in 2012, his will prohibited the use of any music he made for advertising purposes.
Beastie Boys have taken Monster Energy Drink to court after the energy drink company used one of their songs at a sponsored snowboard competition without consent, which was won by the Beastie Boys.
However, there are, exceptions as Beastie Boys agreed to license “Sabotage” to 2009’s 'Star Trek and 216's 'Star Trek Beyond' trailer.
Now the song has been beautifully featured in promo for the first-person shooter game 'Destiny 2'.
