Dolores O'Riordan should have turned 50 on September 6, and to honor her birthday the surviving member of The Cranberries shared a new video for "Never Grow Old" off 2001's Wake Up and Smell the Coffee. The clip features never-before-seen archival footage of Dolores and the band and ends with the late singer saying “Life is short, enjoy it” during an interview.

Aside from the new visuals, The Cranberries also created a special playlist called "Remembering Dolores" and hosted a Facebook Livestream to share memories and "share some exciting new content."

O'Riordan tragically passed away in January 2018 after drowning in a hotel bathtub just hours before she was supposed to record vocals for a collaborative project she was working on. The Cranberries released their final album, In The End, the following year. The surviving members didn't think they'd put out any new music, but then they found the singer's personal hard drive, which was filled with unfinished demos, and they knew they had to put out one last record.

“It was just like winning the Lotto,” guitarist Noel Hogan said about discovering the music. “And that was it. We had the songs.”
