Death Cab For Cutie are hitting the road this weekend for a two-week tour that will see them playing a number of amphitheatres, including Denver's iconic Red Rocks, and they've thought of a way for fans from all over the world to join in on the experience.
In addition to the in-person crowd, DCFC are livestreaming the concert via Flymachine — an interactive digital venue. They announced the event on Instagram.
"A concert at @redrocksco is an event to remember for a lifetime, whether you're in the audience or performing onstage. It's always a special place for DCFC, and we are excited to be able to share that experience with those of you who can't make it to the show on September 13," the band wrote. "The livestream is going to be hosted by a virtual venue called @flymachinelive that creates an immersive social experience where you can video chat with friends and fellow fans while you watch the show together. It’ll air at several times for different territories so everyone overseas can join in too. We’re excited for you to try it out – see you there!"
