With their sophomore album The Battle At Garden's Gate less than a month away, Greta Van Fleet are giving fans another taste of what to expect from the new project by sharing "Broken Bells."
“’Broken Bells’ is what the fetter of society does to impact a pure and innocent soul," bassist Sam Kiszka explained in a press release. "Our intention is to remove the obligation of generational synthetic expectations; break down these walls and not build new ones.”

"It’s very dynamic, lyrically speaking," frontman Josh Kiszka said about the new album in a statement upon its announcement. "And that’s the human experience. It’s much more than pain or fear; it’s also beauty. People need people, and love is important. There was a lot of self-evolution happening during the writing of this album that was prompted by experiences I had, experiences we all had, so a lot of contemplation occurred.”
“It’s reflecting a lot of the world that we’ve seen, and I think that it’s reflecting a lot of personal truth," guitarist Jake Kiszka added. "What Josh does very well with the lyrics is telling ancient tales with a contemporary application.”
"Broken Bells" is the fourth offering off The Battle At Garden's Gate, following "Heat Above," "Age of Machine" and "My Way, Soon."
