Mike Shinoda took a break from producing fans' music on Twitch to release some of his own. On Friday (February 19), the Linkin Park emcee dropped a new single called "HAPPY ENDINGS," which features Iann Dior and UPSAHL. To celebrate, Shinoda will be chatting with his collaborators during his Twitch session today at 1pm ET / 10am PT.

Shinoda has been keeping plenty busy since the pandemic hit last year, hanging out with fans every weekday on Twitch. In just a matter of months, he released three volumes of a series titled Dropped Frames, which features instrumental tracks that were created during his daily livestreams. However, "HAPPY ENDINGS" is Shinoda's first proper single since releasing the deluxe edition of his debut solo album, Post Traumatic, in 2019, which included two new songs.
He released the album almost a year after the death of his close friend and bandmate Chester Bennington, and admitted that its conception was like therapy for him.
"It's basically chronologically created in a certain way, so in terms of the events of the last nine months, it started in a really dark place, and then slowly as things in my life got brighter, the music did too. That's something you notice from beginning to end on it," he told iHeartRadio at the time.
