David Bowie would be turning 74 on January 8, 2021, and to celebrate, the Thin White Duke's longtime collaborator Mike Garson is curating a star-studded livestream tribute concert. They join artists like Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan, Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor, Jane's Addiction's Perry Farrell, Bush'sGavin Rossdale, Macy Gray, Def Leppard's Joe Elliott, The Rolling Stones' Bernard Fowler, Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, YUNGBLUD, Adam Lambert, and more.
In addition to those famous voices, the house band will consist of Bowie alumni, including those who were involved in his final tour, for a "setlist of some of Bowie’s most memorable hit songs along with a collection of deep cut Bowie gems."
“What we’re planning is an amazing show with the most talented musicians from every period of David’s career, as well as phenomenal artists from many different genres," Garson said in a statement. "We’ll hear different interpretations of David’s songs; some with totally new arrangements that have never been heard before."
Just For One Day! kicks off at 6pm PT/9pm on January 8, 2021. Tickets are on sale now, and ticket holders will have access to the stream for 24 hours after the initial broadcast. Get more ticket info HERE.
