Watch Steven Adler reunite with Guns N' Roses for "My Michelle"

Drummer Steven Adler's campaign to rejoin Guns N' Roses full-time alongside Slash and Duff McKagan fell short a couple years ago, but the band is still celebrating Adler's guest appearances on the 'Not in This Lifetime' tour.

Adler joined the band onstage during a handful of shows in 2016. One such performance is included in GNR's recent YouTube upload of live clips titled 'Not in This Lifetime Selects: Latin America.'

The sixth song in the 47-minute clip features Adler performing "My Michelle" with his former bandmates in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Appetite for Destruction drummer also sat in with GNR the previous night on the song "Out Ta Get Me."

The historic performances were Adler's first with Guns N' Roses since before he was fired from the band in 1990. The lineup for those performances in Buenos Aires was just one Izzy Stradlin short of a full Appetite-era reunion.

While Stradlin declined to participate in the reunion festivities, Adler put the full court press on the band to bring him back, repeatedly addressing the one-off gigs in interviews and asking fans to "pray" for Axl Rose, Slash and Duff to make him an offer.

"Of course, I wish the guys would have wanted to have done the real reunion with me and Izzy, but just being able to play with them was very exciting," the drummer said in one radio interview. "It was just so great. You get love from 100 people, it's a wonderful feeling. You get love from 85,000 people, it's a high. There's no drug better. It was so great to be able to look down and see Slash and Duff and Axl. I'm a fan, and all the fans wanted to see the original five of us, but it didn't work out that way. I'm sorry, fans — I did my best. I swear on God I did. I have no say. Everybody, get on the web site and put some prayers into God. Let's make this happen this new year."

In another interview, Adler suggested that he would rejoin the band for little more than "a hug. ...I'm just so proud that I was part of Guns N' Roses."
