You won't hear any of it beforehand
Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan took to their official social media pages, revealing that no music will be released before the album arrives digitally on Aug. 2. The band leader also says that physical releases for purchase will be available at a later time.
"We feel the right way to hear this record was an intact body of work," Corgan asserts, later adding that fans "can decide the value of what we have done" by evaluating the music as a whole.
The new album will drop shortly after the Smashing Pumpkins ends the European leg of a world tour that resumes with North American dates on July 29. The band recently announced a Latin America tour that will begin in early November with shows in Brazil.
