Maybe you remember the mullet wedding dress. Maybe for you it’s the mirrored coffin covering half of Stephanie Seymour’s face, or the long-haired guy hurling himself face-first into a wedding cake, or Slash’s guitar solo in front of a remote church. (That solo always annoyed me because you see the guitars not plugged in..)

And today in music history, July 15th 2018, the music video for November Rain hit 1 Billion views on Youtube, becoming the first 90’s video to do so

Apparently Axl Rose had a vision in mind when Guns N' Roses hit the studio to record the Use Your Illusion albums, but he wanted to make a movie based on some of the songs as well. "November Rain" was actually based on the short story Without You by writer Del James, who is also a close friend of the band

“November Rain” cost a reported $1.5 million, making it the most expensive music video of its time, it was a crazy milestone at the time, making it hard to believe that not even a year later Guns n Roses released the music video for “Estranged” which cost a whopping $4 million….
