A naked playmate scaled Mt Taranaki & people are p*ssed off

You would think that having a playmate come over to our country, pose on one of our beautiful mountains, and post it online for her 300k followers to see would be a good thing, but apparently not.

It was this photo that has be the topic of hot debate as some people have found it disrespectful. 

Maori academic Dennis Ngawhare spoke to Fairfax about how the issue was culturally insensitive:

"I also know cousins and relatives who will be quite upset about it. They would consider it as being disrespectful towards the mountain,"

Cook defended her decision to go nude saying that being naked is a natural and powerful pleasure, not something to take offence to.

The Stratford mayor, Neil Volzke, said that the stunt was unexpected, and culturally insensitive.
