Guy Captures Pokemon In Delivery Room As His Wife Is Giving Birth

In the latest game to fixate the world, Pokemon Go sees players capture Pokemon in real life surroundings.

It's a concept that was always going to lead to some amusing location catches, like this father-to-be who caught a Pokemon under the hospital bed where his wife was waiting to give birth.

Reddit user Jonathan Theriot shared the image of his wife waiting for a C section while he snared a Pokemon "Pidgey" under her feet.

"When your wife is about to have a baby and a Pokemon shows up and you have to low-key catch it..." he wrote.

He told BuzzFeed he just couldn't wait to catch the Pidgey.

"As soon as it popped up, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, there's a Pidgey sitting on your bed!'" he told his wife, Jessica. "So, I screenshotted it, then caught it and showed it to her."

Some fellow Redditors commented saying they were not impressed by Theriot gaming while his wife was in labour.

But Theriot said his wife was amused rather than upset. "She just kind of laughed at it. It was primarily an eye roll once she realised what I was doing."

Some suggested the couple name their baby Pidgey, but they opted for Ireland Sage Theriot instead.
