Nothing lives forever, not even the Loch Ness Monster.
So when a carcass of a giant, possibly prehistoric animal washed up on the bank of the Scottish Loch Ness, heads were certainly turned.
A photo of the scene has been posted on the Help2Rehome Scotland Facebook page, prompting much discussion.
Could it be? Had the slippery lake monster finally kicked the bucket? Were these the guts of the famed Nessie herself?
One comment suggested "This is a giraffe body," as a perfectly logical explanation.
Help2Rehome Scotland, after much debate, finally revealed the truth: "It's for a TV show, good lay out! We can't wait to see the documentary now! Hopefully the producers will pick the food they used back up and make Nessy a brekkie for tomorrow!"
