Man caught masturbating outside a supermarket waiting for his wife

Well, this isn't something you read about every day... 

A UK man had to go to court to explain why he decided to start masturbating while waiting for his wife in a supermarket carpark. 

Timothy McTinghe was waiting for his wife outside the supermarket on Valentine's Day and decided to create a temporary mastabatorium...

The former carpenter reportedly got bored waiting for his wife outside Asda in Brighton Marina, East Sussex.

The 51-year-old argued that he had been rubbing his leg because of pins and needles but admitted to a charge of public indecency after two people caught him in the act.

"He went shopping with his wife in Asda. She went into the shop and he was in the car looking after the dog," McTinghe's defence solicitor Ed Fish said.

"He didn't think anybody else would be able to see him. Having been told someone else had seen him, he was mortified."

"He was understandably extremely embarrassed about what occurred."

The man escaped a sexual offence conviction as the judge believed he did not intend for anyone to see him.

McTinghe has been ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation sessions and will have to pay court costs.
