Steven Adams' groin has taken centre stage in the NBA western conference finals.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green kicked Adams in the crotch during their loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in game three.
The NBA's set a precedent with groin-related scuffles, suspending Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dahntay Jones for punching in that area.
Thunder guard Russell Westbrook expects Green to be suspended for game four.
"Honestly I think it's intentional. That's two times in the last two games. I don't think you can't stop kicking somebody in their private areas."
Green responded:Â "Russell said I did it on purpose, but he's a part of the superstar group that started all of this acting in NBA, I didn't, so I don't think it can be compared to a punch. A leg going in the air, it's completely different."
Green feels his actions aren't comparable to Jones'.
"If I come punch you in your head, I probably did that on purpose, because I'm going to intentionally use my arm. I don't think you can really compare a leg to an arm.
Adams reaction was more guarded than his groin.
Cryptically, he said he watched a replay of the incident when he got home and it confirmed what he already thought.
The NBA's expected to make an official ruling this morning.
Adams is unfazed regardless of verdict.
"Regardless I think we can beat them with or without him. In terms of meaning they have many other players who are just a capable. They're a great team."
