All Blacks Believe South Africa's Injuries Could Be Their Downfall

The All Blacks believe South Africa's injury woes could be a positive for the struggling outfit.

Lock Lood de Jager has been ruled out of Saturday's test, while halfback Faf de Klerk and fullback Johan Goosen are awaiting on results from scans of their respective injuries.

All Blacks flanker Jerome Kaino said there's plenty of depth in South Africa's squad that'll be raring to get a chance.

"If you look at those players individually, they're at the top of the form players in super rugby. Once they get a lot of time together and get those combinations tight, they'll be hard to stop."

South Africa believe they're on their way to catching up to the All Blacks.

Injury and retirement have plagued the Springboks this year, which has shown in defeats to Ireland, Argentina and most recently Australia.

Coach Alistair Coetzee said despite two straight losses they're starting to gain some momentum.

"As a group, we know where we are as a team and where we need to improve. That's where the focus is at this point in time."

Both teams have assembled in Christchurch for Saturday's test.
