Confusion Over Claims Of Extra Player For All Blacks Sevens

It's unclear whether World Rugby is investigating claims the All Blacks Sevens fielded an extra player in their dramatic draw with Australia on day one of the Sydney World Series.

Australian media has posted video footage which suggests New Zealand had eight players on the field in the moments before Ardie Savea's match-levelling try.

But, the footage may prove indecisive with the feet of the eighth Kiwi player out of shot, meaning it's unknown if he was in or out of play.

As it stands, New Zealand will meet USA in today's quarterfinals, but if any points are lost from the Australian game the Kiwis would meet England.
