F1 Forced To Return To Old Qualifying Format

Formula 1 officials have u-turned on their controversial new qualifying format following pressure from all 11 teams.

This year's new elimination qualifying format has been axed, after copping widespread criticism during the first two races of the year.

Despite officials proposing an alternative model, teams have unanimously objected to that, and officials have now decided to return to last year's format.

The old format could be in place for next week's Chinese Grand Prix.
