Kane Williamson has steered the Black Caps to a five wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second cricket test in Hamilton, to complete a two-nil series win.
He's struck an unbeaten 108 to guide New Zealand to the 189 required for victory early on the fourth day's play at Seddon Park.
In the process, Williamson has now scored more test runs and centuries by a New Zealander in a calendar year.
He's played down the achievement, upon receiving the man of the match award.
"You don't really look at years, you kind of look at the next tour coming up and that's certainly what I do. It's very much about trying to adapt and contribute to a team performance."
Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum said Williamson is a genius.
"He'll hate me saying it because he hates the accolades, and the recognition. He just want to go out there and perform a role for his team but he's a guy at the very top of world sport at the moment, and he's one of us."
The Black Caps are now unbeaten in 13 tests in New Zealand, stretching back to March 2012, and the team is up to fifth in the ICC test rankings.
