IBF Set Deadline For Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker Fight

The IBF has ruled heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua must defend his title against Joseph Parker before January 9th.

Parker is the mandatory challenger for Joshua's belt following his win over Carlos Takam last month.

Promoter Eddie Hearn wants the fight staged on November 9th.

However there could be a delay if Joshua opts for a unification bout which can take precedence over a mandatory obligation.

A bout against WBC champion Deontay Wilder or WBO, IBO and WBA title holder Tyson Fury have been mentioned.
