Israel Dagg To Return To Crusaders On Friday

Israel Dagg will make his long awaited return for the Crusaders this Friday.

The fullback has been named to start against the Jaguares in Christchurch in what will be his Super Rugby game since April last year.

Coach Todd Blackadder said they never contemplated easing him back via the bench.

Blackadder said its best to take any anxiety away by just getting him out there and letting him play.

Israel Dagg played 30 minutes of club rugby a fortnight ago.

Todd Blackadder has rested Sam Whitelock for Friday's match, with Scott Barrett taking his place.
