New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has joined elite company with his century in the second test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo today.
Williamson went to his first hundred against Zimbabwe early on day two as New Zealand looked to press home their substantial advantage. By lunch they were 436 for four.
Williamson's 113 is his 14th test century, and he is the 13th player to have made at least one against all other test-playing nations. And what's more at 25 he's the youngest by four years to the mark.
Williamson tops the list on a couple of other counts.
He is playing his 50th test, therefore reaching the mark 19 matches faster than the next best, Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara; it was his 91st innings, 24 fewer than Sangakkara.
The other 12 to the full set include some of the great batting names of the last generation.
Three Australians, Steve Waugh, Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting; and three Sri Lankans, Marvan Atapattu, Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene have climbed that mountain along with two celebrated Indians, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, and two South Africans, Gary Kirsten and Jacques Kallis.
Pakistan's Younis Khan and West Indian Brian Lara complete the list.
