New South Wales and Sydney Roosters rugby league star Mitchell Pearce is reportedly in serious trouble after video emerged of him engaging in a lewd act with a dog.

Channel Seven in Australia claims Pearce has been filmed making an advance on a woman at a party, before she turned him away.

The report alleges he then turned towards a dog and performed a "depraved" act.

Former Canberra player Joel Monaghan was caught up in a similar incident in 2010 and ultimately left the NRL.
