New Beginnings For The Blues

Approaching his 13th season, Blues captain Jerome Kaino believes new life is finally being injected to the Super Rugby franchise.

Kaino's two weeks into his pre-season campaign after an extended break, joining the squad under new head coach Tana Umaga at the franchise's new Alexandra Park facilities.

Kaino said it has the feeling of a completely new chapter for the team.

"So much has changed and we're looking forward to it, seeing what that can do for our results," he said.

"The guys are going to put everything into the new change and new beginning and hopefully that brings us success."

Kaino said Umaga has already made a positive influence on the squad, with young players looking up to him as a playing hero.
