Ref 'Almost Kills" MMA Fighter

In a shocking end to a title match between Manny Vasquez and Steven Peterson at Legacy Fight Championships 56, Peterson had Vasquez in a rear naked choke submission, and the referee failed to see that Vasquez lost consciousness.

Vasquez remained in the choke for a long time after falling unconscious, and the referee in question has been lambasted in the MMA media for failing to protect the fighter in a timely fashion.
