Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini have been banned by FIFA for eight years.

The FIFA and UEFA presidents have been provisionally suspended from football following an investigation into a 1.35 billion pound payment Blatter made to Platini.

The men claim the money was for consultation work Platini did for Blatter between 1998 and 2002.

But the payment wasn't made until February 2011, three months before a FIFA Presidential election in which Platini supported Blatter.

FIFA adjudicators could extend the ban if it decides the payments were corrupt.
