The Woman At The Centre Of Crooning Irish Euro Fans Hearts Revealed As French Lifeguard

A young French woman named Carla Roméra has spoken out after finding herself at the heart of a mob of Irish football fans - who serenaded her with love songs. Mail Online revealed name of the girl at centre of the viral hit, who works as a lifeguard in her native France.

Hundreds of Irish fans were captured circling Ms Roméra, following the Ireland-Belgium Euro 2016 game in Bordeaux on Saturday. The footage of the fans serenading her quickly went viral.

Miss Roméra confirmed she was the young woman at the centre of their affection, saying the experience was "magical". "I want to say that I am very proud of the Irish, it was a magical time filled with kindness and joy," Miss Roméra told Mail Online.
