Wallabies' Douglas Denies Eye Gouge Incident

Wallabies lock Kane Douglas denies All Blacks prop Owen Franks eye gouged him.

The pair became tangled in the second Bledisloe Cup test in Wellington, with footage showing Franks repeatedly making contact with Douglas's face as he tried to reach across the maul.

Douglas has told the Courier Mail that it wasn't an eye gouge, just an All Black trying to stop him driving through the maul.

He says there are arms everywhere in those situations and he has no issue with it at all.

Australian coach Michael Cheika had accused Franks of the gouge after the Bledisloe Cup test last weekend. 

SANZAAR said there were no citings from the match.
