Warriors coach Andrew McFadden is hailing his side's tenacity, reveling in a golden point victory.
After back-to-back extra time losses on the road, Shaun Johnson scored in the 89th minute to secure the Warriors a 20-16 win over the Panthers at Mount Smart Stadium.
Warriors utility back David Fusitu'a, starting at centre from his usual spot on the wing, scored two tries.
McFadden says while the results haven't shown it, they're playing well as a team, and as the team gels together and builds momentum with wins, they'll continue to improve.
However McFadden will be bracing himself for more criticism for how he uses his bench.
Having not used Tuimoala Lolohea until the 81st minute of their golden point loss to Manly a fortnight ago, Blake Ayshford was unused off the bench, even in extra time.
But that Warriors coach insists that's simply how their game is planned.
The Warriors and Panthers are now tied for eighth on 22 points, along with the 10th placed Wests Tigers, who've beaten the Parramatta Eels 23-8.
The Melbourne Storm have taken a major step towards a top two finish with a 16-8 win over the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville.
