A clean sweep for New Zealand Super Rugby sides.
The Hurricanes have swept past the Lions 50-17 in Johannesburg this morning, the Highlanders have held on for a 23-10 win over the Brumbies and the Blues head off to South Africa with a 36-30 win over the Rebels under their belt.
Canes coach Chris Boyd said they put the game to bed when they scored three tries in eight minutes.
He said sometimes you get a bit of momentum and lucky breaks come with it.
The Canes forced 16 turnovers and missed 20 of 110 tackles on their way to a resounding bonus point victory.
Winger Cory Jane said its a formula they've got to stick to going forward.
He said the times they've played well this year is when they've played well defensively and need to do what they did today all the time.
The Hurricanes are one point shy of the Crusaders in the New Zealand conference though the red and blacks have a game in hand.
Meanwhile Blues coach Tana Umaga says they're leaving New Zealand with a respectable record following their 36-30 win over the Rebels at Eden Park.
But he said the next three weeks in South Africa and Perth will be telling as their away form hasn't been the best.
"We've got an opportunity to put things to bed and we need to, you know for us to keep progressing in this competition we need to win. So we're going over there with that in mind."
And Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph is lauding his side's defence in their 23-10 Super Rugby win over the Brumbies in Invercargill.
The hosts were forced to spend prolonged periods without the ball, with just 27 percent possession in the match and 25 percent territory.
He says they still have lots to work on but it was a good win.
Back-up first five Hayden Parker ruptured his ACL earlier in the week and Jamie Joseph says they will need to call in a replacement.
The Reds have beaten the Cheetahs 30-17 and the Stormers lead the Waratahs 20-18 in their match in South Africa this morning.
